Hollywood would be screwed!! I don't even watch most of the super hero movies because I want to remember them as they were in the comics from when I was a kid and not how Hollywood portrays them. It's insane how many super hero and/or comic book movies are coming out every year. Between that and remakes, Hollywood must be completely out of fresh ideas for movies.

Look at this link. Probably half (or more) of these "most anticipated" movies are based on comic book characters. Ridiculous! Almost every other movie on that list is a sequel or remake or some other unoriginal movie.

I really need to get off my ass and finish writing all the movie scripts I have started over the last ten years.

Yep, they have officially run out of ideas for movies.

Valid question but I really don't see the popularity of super heroes and comic books dropping off even a little bit in the near future. It is at an all time high right now but the one thing to note is that it probably can't go any higher than it is now which only leaves one direction for it to go. But I think it's still going to be a while before that starts to happen. Give it until around 2024 when every single comic book character has a movie or at least been involved in a movie and by then people will start to maybe get sick of them. But maybe not because sequels will still be made and will carry these movies while the new movies take a hit. I'm not making sense huh? It happens sometimes Very Happy Very Happy

These movies are so inaccurate and 'too Hollywood' if that makes any sense. Look at how much money these movies are pulling in and that will tell you right there that this trend is far from over.

Suicide Squad made an insane amount of money in the opening week. I don't remember the exact numbers, but it was a shitload.

The comic book train is not stopping anytime soon. This is going to last another ten years at the very minimum. The only way it stops is if some of these movies start bombing at the box office, and that is very very doubtful.

Yep, at least 10 years. Probably much longer than that. Unless some other huge trend pops up and takes over.

I didn't like it. Terrible cast. Will Smith is horrible and this Joker was... a joke.

Hardly any of these movies are good anyways so they should just stop. Oh wait, greedy bastards will milk it for every dime they can get.

That Joker was shit. Jared Leto is not a good actor in the first place but then giving Joker tattoos and making him a 'wigger' basically, what a dumb idea.

The movie MIGHT have been okay but the Joker completely ruined any chance of that happening.
